B. Haiden Herring

DIRECTOR- Ever since I directed my first skit in high school for my theater class, directing is always something I've aspired to to do. When I made my directorial debut to the screen in college, I knew that it became more than something I aspire to do; it became my passion. The thing I find the most interesting about the role is that no matter how experienced you are, you always learn something new on every shoot.

I have been disciplined and have experience directing everything from commercials to film production (short and feature length) to live television and more!

EDITOR- I have always had a knack for the editing process. There has yet to be an editing program that I did not immediately get the hang of the same day of learning it. The primary program that I use and am most savvy with is Final Cut Pro, however, I have extensive knowledge using Avid DS, Avid Media Composer, Avid Symphony, and iMovie. I also work prevalently in iPhoto and Adobe Photoshop as far as picture editing programs go. I hone my editing skills almost on a daily basis to keep myself fresh on each editing programs fundamentals. I have a strong feeling that I might have a future in the post-production arts!

CAMERA OPERATOR & ASSISTANT CAMERA- Many cameras have crossed my path, but I would have to say that I am a digital guy, as opposed to film. I'd say I have considerable skills with a DSLR. Not saying that I don't like any other cam, I just perfer them over the rest. It is probably due to the fact that since I first got my Canon 7D, I have fallen in love with it! I've used digital cameras from Canon T3i's to Sony EX1, but I definitely would choose my 7D over any of them. I'd say the majority of my film degree revolved around a camera on a daily basis, so I figure, why not pick one up! I have experience working on jibs and I'd say it is my favorite part about operating a camera at all.

MUSICIAN- I have ALWAYS had a strong interest in music. I specialize more on the unplugged side but I aim to broaden my horizons as I begin to meet other musician, typically in my peer group. As far as instruments go, have been playing piano for 9 years, harmonica for as long as I can remember, ukulele for two years, and acoustic AND electric guitar for 7 years (which I prefer to play most of all). I also avidly sing and write music as much as I possibly can. I have been in two bands in my life (lead singer for one and rhythm guitarist for the other)and am always open to starting a new one! I reached a point in my life where I realized that even if I never do anything again as far as jobs go for music, I will always keep playing no matter what!

ACTOR- If there is one profession that I have the most experience in, it's acting. I preformed in my first stage performance when I was 5 years old kept it up at a steady pace until I was 17, where I moved on to screen acting. I have been taking any role offered to me and that I have been vastly interested for almost five years now and plan on getting as much experience as I can. I know for a fact that I will be acting for the rest of my life.

CASTING- I have been told on many occasion (mostly by those who have more experience than me)that the best casting directors are those who have experienced directing and acting first-hand, which plays a huge part in the reason why casting is a department that I have emphatically enjoyed working in. I have worked in every position in the casting department and have found that I have a knack for spotting out good talent that fit the roles given for shoots. I firmly believe that I have a bright future to come in casting.

but, as you can plainly see, my full name is Brad Haiden Herring. I'm a 6 foot tall, caucasian enthusiast of film and music with a deep passion for entertainment. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Film and love every aspect of the visual and fine arts. In fact, I get easily excited when I have an opportunity to perform or be involved on a shoot. However, my professions lie specifically in Directing, Editing, Acting, Casting, Camera Operations and Assistant Camera, and Music. That is not to say I am not interested in trying other things, for I have been trained in ALL attributes of every department in film and television production; from Production Assistant to Producer.
